if you have outgrown shirts, pants, skirts, sweaters, etc. in RCA colors (blue, white, black, khaki) in good condition, consider donating them to RCA. We keep clothing on hand for kids who need an emergency change during the day. We also plan to have a clothing sale after the Holiday Break. You will find a donation box in the Front Office after.

The LAST DAY for before- and after-school activities will be Thursday, December 9. This includes Tutoring, Homework Club, Lego Club, Choir/Band, Writing Club, Art Club, Basketball, Zumba, and Adult English Classes.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
The staff of Roosevelt Charter Academy have been sharing things they are thankful for on the tailfeathers of Toni, the RCA Turkey! We wish our entire RCA family a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Remember that all next week, Nov 22-26, there are NO CLASSES. We’ll see you back at school on Nov 29.
TONIGHT is Family Game Night at Roosevelt. Come at 5 p.m. to play table games in grade-level classrooms. Then stay for Pizza in the gym. Games and Turkey Dinner Baskets will awarded at the end of the evening (around 6:00 p.m.).

UNIFORM REMINDER
Please remember that uniforms are to be worn to school every day, Monday through Thursday. Uniform colors are BLUE, BLACK, WHITE, and KHAKI/TAN. Other colors should not be worn on uniform days (except as outer jackets). Jeans can only be worn on Fridays. Thank you for your cooperation in this.
Moving forward, Roosevelt Charter Academy will NOT participate in any virtual learning days called by District 11 due to weather or emergency related situations. We will have regular snow days (no online work required) during times of inclement weather.
Stop by the RCA office to enter your family to win a Thanksgiving Dinner Basket! The collection bowl is starting to fill up, so put your name in soon (one per family). Fifteen baskets will be given away at Parent Night on November 18. You must be present to win.

Thanksgiving Basket Raffle
RCA will be giving away 15 Thanksgiving Baskets with all the ingredients for a Turkey Dinner. To enter, please stop by the front office to fill out an entry form (one per family). Baskets will be given away at Parent Night on November 18. Parents must be present to win.
Many of you have asked when the t-shirts and hoodies with RCA logos will be delivered. We are sorry to say it will be a few more weeks because of some items that had to be backordered. We are in frequent contact with the company and will let those who ordered items know as soon as they are available. Thank you for supporting our school and for your patience in this matter.
If you have gently-used costumes that you would like to donate to our “Costume Closet”, please bring them to the office by Monday, Oct 25. These will be made available to students who want to participate but are unable to get a new costume this year.

FUNDRAISER for ROOSEVELT CHARTER ACADEMY
On Friday, October 15, join RCA families and staff for PIZZA and FUN at Chuck E. Cheese's!!! Come between 3:00 and 9:00 p.m. to 2925 Geyser Drive (Circle Dr. and I-25). RCA will receive up to 20% of the sales from this event as a donation from Chuck E. Cheese.
Friday After-school Snack Sales will resume again on October 22.
Families: please join us Monday morning (October 4th) for breakfast goodies and to see samples of your student's amazing work! We will have homerooms open to families from 7:25-8:00 that morning! Please stop in!
NEXT THURSDAY, October 7, is Picture Retake Day from 7:45 to 10:00 a.m. If your student is having photos taken, you can send PJ for them to change into for Pajama Day! Order forms will be sent home soon.
